Radio Controlled Sail Boat

Remote controlled sailboats are great for the summer. You can relax at the lake and just sail them around or you can get race others and have a racing regatta. Here are some tips to keep in mind when choosing your rc sail boat.

1. have a plan for retreiving your boat in case the wind dies down. These sailboats are unlike other rc boats in that they are powered by the wind. You could either use a canoe/kayak or just use an electric boat to push your sailboat back to shore.

2. Make sure the pond/lake you are sailing in is deep enough for the keel of your sailboat. These can extend down quite far.

3. Don't forget to bring the boat stand to the lake so you have a place to set your sailboat while you are preparing it to sail. You will also need this to test that everything is working properly before putting your boat in the water.

Megatech makes a really nice sailboat that is made for racing. These are designed for the serious racing fan. Nikko RC Sailboats can also be used in racing but are also good for the casual user and beginners. Now is a great time to get your RC Sailboat while it is on sale.
